Welcome to the website of the India Pet Industry Association (IPIA), which was set up in early 2009 to give the Indian pet-related Industry a collective voice and to raise awareness of the importance of the pet Industry to the Indian economy.
The decision to form the IPIA was taken at a meeting attended by several companies of the Indian pet Industry on 30 August 2008. The meeting was held on the premises of L.B. Associates (Pvt) Ltd of Noida – publishers of Creature Companion magazine and organizers of the India International Pet Trade Fair (IIPTF) – and convened by their Chief Executive, Linda Brady Hawke.
A further meeting was held on the sidelines of the IIPTF on 31 January at which time, candidates were chosen to run for the offices of President and Vice President. Those elections resulted in myself, Naveen Kohi, President of Shivam Polymers, being elected a President and Mr. Siddharth Modi, Managing Director of Avanti Overseas Private Limited being elected as Vice-President.
IPIA in its Infancy Phase
The IPIA is still an infant association and is therefore on a recruitment drive. This then, is a ‘Call to Action’ to all companies in the pet industry of India. Please check the links on this website; ask questions; make suggestions; but ultimately, join us in our quest for the betterment of the pet industry of India by becoming a member.
